Lawyer Jane Mensah was appointed as the Chairperson of the Ghana’s Electoral Commission’s committee in July 2018 after Charlotte Osei was removed from office by former President Nana Addo.
Meeting two election years in office as a chairperson of the EC, there has been a protest against Her[Jane Mensah] and her deputy to be removed from office to ensure a just and transparent elections experience in the future.
President John D. Mahama was petitioned by the staff member of the Electoral Commission [Joseph Blankson Adumadzie] claiming the country’s affairs concerning elections won’t be safe since Jane Mensah and her deputy are still in office.
The Staff member believes that removing the current chairperson of the EC and her deputy is the only way to keep Ghana’s future election activities safe and just.
