Since 1957 after Motherland Ghana was freed from Colonial rule, Ghana has never experience any republic with a female ruler either it being Autocratic or Democratic.
It has always been the wish of Ghanaians to have a female leader since it is believed that women are passionate and loyal in-terms of Leadership.
Until 2024, when the Presidential and Parliamentary elections took in Ghana on the 7th of December, for the citizens to choose their leaders to be held responsible for the affairs of the country [Ghana].
NDC came out victorious after the winner was declared, making it a memorable victory for Ghana as John Mahama returns to Office as President with His Vice-President [Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang] making history as the FIRST FEMALE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA.
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is a 73 year old Ghanaian academic and politician. Who is the Vice President of Ghana. She served as Minister for Education from February 2013 to January 2017. She is a full professor of literature. Attended University Of Cape Coast, Wesley Girls' High School and York University blessed with 3 children.
